Madrid, 26 de mayo de 2025 – El Comité Organizador de Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games ha anunciado otra colaboración significativa: Bornan Sports Technology ha sido designado como proveedor oficial del Games Management System (GMS), proporcionando la infraestructura digital esencial para la ejecución eficiente del evento. Bornan Sports Technology se especializa en soluciones digitales para eventos deportivos importantes, cuenta con experiencia probada en numerosos proyectos deportivos internacionales y ofrece sistemas integrales adaptados a las complejas exigencias de eventos multideportivos.

Como parte de Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, Bornan proporcionará el Games Management System (GMS), una columna vertebral digital implementada en múltiples departamentos, consolidando una amplia gama de tareas. Entre otras cosas, el sistema se utilizará para gestionar a más de 10.000 voluntarios.

Nueve módulos para operaciones técnicas fluidas
Un módulo central es el registro de participantes: todas las personas acreditadas, desde atletas hasta oficiales, completarán un formulario en línea centralizado, que luego será verificado por el departamento correspondiente. Las inscripciones deportivas también se procesarán a través del GMS: las delegaciones registrarán a sus atletas para deportes y disciplinas, sujeto a la aprobación del equipo responsable de inscripciones deportivas.

Para garantizar la seguridad, el GMS incluye un sistema integrado de control de acceso con funcionalidad de escaneo: todas las credenciales de acreditación estarán equipadas con códigos QR que pueden verificarse in situ. Además, el sistema apoya la coordinación de llegadas y salidas al permitir que los participantes ingresen sus datos de viaje, permitiendo al equipo de transporte planificar en consecuencia. Finalmente, el sistema también gestiona la logística de catering: el acceso a las áreas de comedor y los derechos a las comidas se organizan a través de la plataforma.

More than 700 student-athletes were able to follow their results live for the first time thanks to a new timing and scoring collaboration between the International University Sports Federation, Bornan Sports Technology and the Swiss University Sports Federation. 

715 student-athletes, 18 universities and higher education schools, 6 sports and 3 days of competitions in Tenero, the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Those are the numbers of the Swiss Universities Games that take place every two years. But for this fifth edition, for the first time ever, all participants were able to follow their results live on an app. 

This first was made possible by FISU, who, with its technology partner Bornan, brought international level know-how and processes to a national university multisports event.

Cloud-based management system

FISU and Bornan used a cloud-based event management system as well as a new results system to cover all the competitions – beach volleyball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, floorball, football 7 and function fitness – and deliver the results on a webpage as well as on an app on iOS and Android.
